Here’s how to develop a rich mindset. Let us know in the comments what you think of these 10 ways to have a wealthy mindset.
1. Shift Your Mindset from Lack to Abundance
I know, easier said than done. Practice this short meditation each day – survey the material things you have in your life and feel gratitude towards them.
Then list a few ways you have messed up your finances in the past and then tell yourself you are forgiven for those mistakes.
Finally, picture yourself with the abundance that you desire and name the ways that abundance will serve the world.
2. Acknowledge That You Are The Master of Your Destiny
This is the difference between being a person that just responds to things that happen to you versus being a person who decides to create what they want.
3. Focus on What You Want
Acknowledge what you want. Don’t be bashful about it – money is not evil, it is simply a resource that is available in the world and it can be used for great things. Focus on the great things you want to do.
4. Write Down Your Vision & Refer to It Often
Write down or create a vision board for what you want so you can remind yourself where you are going. Visualization is a powerful tool.
5. Set Goals to Get There
Set goals, not wishes. This is in line with creating your vision, but these are the steps you’ll take to get there. Hopefully, you’ll have some luck along the way (luck = opportunity meeting preparedness).
6. Do Your Homework & Keep Learning
Get a mentor or a personal coach. Find great books to read. Spend less time watching trash TV.
When you spend more time developing yourself and being a continuous learner, you know what you want and what it will take to get there. Invest in yourself.
7. Think About Investing Instead of Spending
This isn’t meant to be advocating for an austerity plan, but to find some easy ways to save money and chose to invest that.
Investing is making a long-term commitment to your financial success.
8. Find Ways to Live Below Your Means
There are a lot of people concerned with looking rich, rather than being rich. Changing your mindset from one of lack to abundance will help with this.
Again, this isn’t saying you can’t have any nice things, but when you chose to live below your means you free up money to invest, give away, or use to start a new venture.
9. Take Calculated Risks
Don’t be afraid to trust your instinct. If you have an idea or plan your gut keeps telling you to go for, take a calculated risk on it and give it your best shot.
10. Think Long-Term
You already know it’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon. Create a long-term plan for yourself and regularly check in to see if you’re on course for your long-term goals.
